The trade chase problem
You quoted, you fixed it, you went home. Now you're owed.
For UK tradespeople, the chase is usually the worst part of the job. You did the work in someone's home or on a building site and now you're sat in the van trying to word a text that doesn't sound like you're begging.
The invoice might be a WhatsApp message, a paper docket, a Tradify or Powered Now PDF or a hand-written quote. DueTidy treats them all the same way: as something that needs paying.
Common chase moments
- Customer says "the cheque's in the post"
- Domestic customer ghosts after the job
- Commercial client wants 30-day terms
- You sent the invoice on WhatsApp and it scrolled away
- You're owed by 4 different customers at once
Built for every trade
The chase looks the same, whatever you fit.
Used by sole traders across the trades, on Android and iPhone.

FAQ
What tradespeople ask us.
I invoiced on WhatsApp / by paper. Can DueTidy still chase it?
Yes. DueTidy doesn't care where the original invoice came from. Add the customer, amount and due date, and DueTidy will send polite reminders by email. You can also Log a chase to record WhatsApp messages, phone calls or texts you sent yourself.
How long should a tradesperson wait before chasing a customer?
For domestic work the polite norm is a friendly reminder the day before payment is due, on the due date, then again at 3, 7, 14 and 30 days overdue. DueTidy follows this ladder automatically on the Pro plan.
What if the customer says they posted a cheque?
Use Promise to pay in DueTidy with the date they said they'd send it. DueTidy will quietly remind you to follow up if that date passes without payment.
Will the reminders sound aggressive?
No. All six default templates are deliberately calm and professional. You can read them before any of them go out, and you can edit the wording for each customer if you want.
Does DueTidy replace Tradify or Powered Now?
No. Keep using Tradify, Powered Now, QuickBooks or your job-management tool to generate invoices. DueTidy sits on top and handles the chasing — that's all it does.
What about commercial customers paying on 30 or 60 day terms?
Set the due date when you add the invoice, whether that's 30 days, 60 days or further out. DueTidy starts chasing on the schedule you choose, not before.
