1. Who can use DueTidy

You can use DueTidy if you're at least 18 years old and operating as a sole trader, freelancer, or other small business. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. What DueTidy is

DueTidy is a tool for tracking unpaid and overdue invoices and sending polite payment reminders on your behalf. It is not:

  • An invoicing tool. Keep using Xero, QuickBooks, Stripe, PayPal or whatever you already use.
  • Accounting, tax or VAT software.
  • A debt collection agency.
  • A legal service. Nothing in DueTidy is legal advice.
  • A payment processor. We never touch your customer's money.

3. Your account

You're responsible for:

  • The accuracy of the information you enter.
  • Keeping your password secure.
  • What you send through DueTidy. Reminder emails go out in your name, with your reply-to address. You are the sender, both legally and practically.

4. Pricing and billing

  • Free plan: £0 forever, with a soft limit of 5 open (unpaid) invoices.
  • Pro plan: £9 per month, with a 14-day free trial. The trial requires a card at checkout; the card is not charged until the trial ends.
  • Pricing is exclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • You can cancel any time from the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • We don't offer pro-rated refunds for partial periods. If you cancel mid-month, Pro continues to work until the period ends.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use DueTidy to:

  • Send unsolicited mass marketing. DueTidy is for follow-up on invoices, not lead generation.
  • Send abusive, threatening, harassing, deceptive, or unlawful content.
  • Impersonate any other person or business.
  • Attempt to interfere with the service or the security of other users' accounts.
  • Use DueTidy as part of an automated debt collection or judgment enforcement operation.

If you breach these rules we may suspend or terminate your account.

6. Your customers' data

When you add a customer to DueTidy you are the data controller for that person's data under UK GDPR. You must have a lawful basis for sending payment reminders to them (usually performance of a contract with them) and you must honour their data rights. DueTidy acts as your processor for that data. See our Privacy Policy for the details.

7. Liability

DueTidy is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited under English law.

8. Termination

You can close your account any time from Settings. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms or that pose a security, legal or reputational risk. On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms materially, we'll let you know in-app or by email and update the "Last updated" date. Continuing to use DueTidy after a change counts as acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
